My Original | Her Modifications

Here is my re-done castle layout, and her modification of it. Same black background for the table, just a different body background colour. She didn't change the font for the links, which is a dead give-away.


I've used a screenshot of my cat layout as the example of my work that she copied, however, I do have a few similar layouts that she could have copied from. It all has the same image on left hand side, text area on the right, links under the picture, the same at the cat layout, and a few others of mine.


She ripped off my city template three times, one of which she claimed to write herself. As all three contain the same html, why did she not claim to have written the other two?

This is one of the first layouts I did. This girl has no creative sense, she just copies things she likes, replacing figures, replacing colours to match her pictures. She even keeps little things like the square brackets around the links. It's pathetic, how she claim she didn't copy.

This layout is one of my more recent ones. I love it. I love the yellow, and I love the background of the text. I designed it to look classy, to fit in with the picture, and also readble. A person receiving a preset would not receive the images along with the html, so how could the similarity between the two layouts on a design level be explained unless one was copied from the other? And why would she use such a highly contrasting background as a background for black text? She copied the idea of a patterned background, and forgot to think about the readability of the text when she made the graphic.

She didn't modify this one all that well. It looks crap because there's a huge gap at the top and the bottom. And what the hell is that image? Still, blatent copying, yet again.


Three layouts with a similar theme, two dark, like mine, and one a rather ghastly pink. One with some link headers, something I have used in a good few of my layouts.

This is like my Golden Glow layout, featuring Jennifer Aniston. She stole the concept of the design as well as the design itself. A three colour graduated entry box? Three window-like images under a heading? A drop down menu under each "window"? With an imageless, colourless preset, that's pretty hard to reproduce without having seen the layout first.

Now, this one's really peed me off. Not only did she steal the layout and modify it, but she also submitted it to a contest hoping to win. The rules of this contest clearly stated that each entry you submit "must be your own work". Hah! She didn't design this! She made a few graphics, and altered a few colours, and hey presto, a good layout to submit! She didn't make the deadline, and even if she did, she would have been disqualified.

The boxes for entry and links are distinctive, as is the %%username%%.diaryland.com above the entry box. Another blatent steal, and not a very pretty one.
