Here is a request to all those people that email me about image problems on your diary. PLEASE READ THE FAQ BEFORE YOU EMAIL ME! I have a detailed section on how to deal with this problem there. Please do not email me saying "Please, how do I get my images to load?" The answer is there! If you're coming here wondering why they don't load, and why I haven't answered your email, that is why. Because I have an FAQ for a reason, not just to fill up space on the left hand side.

To those of you who have had problems, and read the FAQ, Thank you! That is all. Oh, and vote here for your favourite design in the Template Challenge.

Voting for The Template Challenge is now open. Please go to the site to browse through the submissions and vote for your favourite!

A Denise Richards layout, very red, thus I've called it Ruby Red, and I've put lyrics of the song by Heather Nova Ruby Red from the album Siren. I actually did it yesterday but never got round to putting it online for you. So voila, here it is.

Finally I have completed my first custom design for a weblog. It was quite a challenge, as I had to deal with a random comments site, which was very confusing, and at first it wouldn't work, so I consulted their forum, and found a fix for it, so I'm very pleased. In fact, despite having very little control over the look of various things if you're a "Basic member", (ie, someone using the site for free), it's very good, and I recommend it if you don't have gold membership. It might even be workable in Diaryland, yet I'm not that sure. Anyway, if you have a blog, likelihood is that this site would be useful to you...

As I've finished this big custom design, I will now be emailing the next couple of people on the custom pending list to see if they're still interested. So if you're one of them, and are reading this before you get a mail, feel free to send one to me if you want! :-)

Here's a cute kiddie layout... and I really like the effect the picture has on the layout... probably a technique I'm going to be over-using in the future! Ah well... It's all good. :-) The custom's coming along nicely, so in the near future I should be able to start work on the next custom on the list! Wooohooo. Then after I've cleared them all, I should be able to open up customs again. So it's all good.... :-)

Here's a lovely one of Liz Hurley, with soft greens. Enjoy. :)

If you're wondering why I've not added more layouts during the last four or five days, it's because I've been visiting family 100 miles away for a few days, going to France to stock up on booze (heh) and also working on a custom design (hell, she's waited long enough and there's over 120 free templates to choose from until I've finished!). I have got a template in the making (well, I made the graphic for it yesterday), but please do be patient, and if you have any problems regarding this site, PLEASE go to the FAQ section to see if your question has already been answered! I'm fed up of replying to several people by email saying "Go to the FAQ." when it's the same problem, and I have on the templates page a bit about the most common problem and that that's where they should go!

Site update news... I've changed the Featured Design (which was long overdue) and I've also added loads of buttons to choose from if you want to link back to me. If you do want to link back to me, you don't have to upload these buttons to your own server, you can just copy and paste the code into your website.

Here's another one very similar to the last one, also in css, of Lucy Liu, who of course starred in Charlie's Angels and Ally McBeal. I've used soft reds and pinks for this layout, and I think the colours all go really well together.

Another of the celebrity/css series (ha)... this time it's Calista Flockhart who stars as Ally McBeal. An icy blue layout this time, so I've called this one Icy Calista. Hope you like!

Another thing I may be implementing in the near future is adding a new way of finding templates you like. If you like a particular colour in layouts, then this may make your search easier. I will be at some point adding a section to the templates page that categorises the templates by colour. Watch this space until then!

Another layout! Three in a day. Mind you, I've beaten that before now. This one's from a great wallpaper site where I got the picture for the City layout and the Frozen Angel layout... I loved the pictures in this one and thought how great it would be to do one with it. This too is css coded, and from now on, I'll endeavour to write all my html in css. That said... enjoy the layout!

Aha... A fourth. Mind you, three of them are very similar. Oh well. This layout is a brown one of Halle Berry. I like the colours of this one as well. I've only used brown as the main colour of a layout once before, so it's nice to do something a little different... if somewhat the same... :-)

Well, I'm trying to get out an average of one template a day this month, but I could only manage one today (rather than more to make up for previous days of nothing) because I've spent the day doing the rest of the redecoration of our previously dingy hallway. And I'm very pleased. All that needs to be done now is to get another lampshade and to get rid of the awful carpet.

But to make up for only doing one template today, it's a neon Reese Witherspoon one. A sexy Reese Witherspoon one. Not only that, but it's entirely css coded. It might not sound that impressive to a lot of you, but it's a Raging Pistachio first, and I'm quite pleased with the results.

Wowzers! What an amazing image. I knew I had to use it as soon as I saw it... and so voila. I hope all you Drew Barrymore fans approve of this dreamy one. I used loads of black and white for this, and accentuated the colours in the image using the link headers and the link colours including the mouse-over colour.

17 August 2003

I've created another imageless template for you, aptly named "Boxes". I hope you like this one, and it's a good one to have if you can't host images for yourselves, but to change links or add new ones, you do need to know what you're doing because the html is rather long and might confuse some "beginners". There's a choice of preset colours and also a "randomiser" button that you can keep clicking until you find one you like if you don't like the presets. Thanks to my wonderful fiance Jonathan for the PHP scripting once more!

I am also getting a lot of messages asking me how they can fix their images. Please visit the FAQ section. It is answered there! I will also add this message to the templates section so everyone should know to look there about the image problem. Thank you!

16 August 2003

I've now split up the templates section so it's faster to load. I know I probably take my broadband connection for granted, so here's something for the modem users among you! I hope this makes it quicker and easier for you to view my templates!

I loved this photo when I saw it. It's a picture of a child's hands, sprinkling sand from one into the other. For a child, even the simplest of things are a new discovery for them, and this is a wonderful picture of discovery, where a child feels the texture of sand for the first time, perhaps. And besides, it's yellow! Woohoo!

15 August 2003

I love the Simpsons, don't you? Here's a nice cute Simpsons layout with Bart, Lisa and Maggie doing their funky stuff.

Here's another Simpsons one, with Bart and Santa's Little Helper, his dog. I've named this one "A Boy's Best Friend". Indeed, one would argue that Santa's Little Helper is Bart's best friend. Behind Milhouse. This one is also cute. :-)

14 August 2003

This is one in homage of the wonderful summer we've been having over on our little island (England). It's a sort of ideallic image of a beach with the water lapping up against the shore and a beautiful blue sky with the token fluffy cloud. It makes me really want to go there and soak up the rays and feel the sand between my toes, and listen to the waves splashing...

To add a little interest, I put a sort of crystal effect on it, so it's ever so slightly blocky. It's fab! If you're in the summer feeling, this layout is for you! (Lots of baby blues as well)

Ahhhh. My third child layout, has the words "My Own Exploration", and the toddler heading over the grass to the sea. Very sweet. The image is from Image Cafe.

13 August 2003

Here's a layout of Jennifer Aniston. I think she's one of the most beautiful celebs on the planet, and here she is on a new "Golden Glow" layout, which is gorgeous and yellow. Which is one of my favourite colours. This layout seems to have a completely different look to it than my other layouts...

12 August 2003

This layout is pink, yes, but pink with pure attitude! It's a picture of Geri Halliwell, which I editted to give it that pink neon glow, and I like it! It's quite daring, risque, and speaks attitude. Text says "This is all I have to say", and the photo has her sticking her tongue out. I love her crinkly hair in this picture, it's fab!

Here's Kylie! I really like this layout. The main reason being because I pieced the graphic together into something I wanted from a different picture, so it feels more mine. Enjoy, anyways.

11 August 2003

Oooh, another layout I love! I had a few different ideas for a layout using this picture, one included a rather elaborate border around the picture and links box. In the end, I settled for a simple border, and lots of shades of blue. I thought blue went well, because I feel it is a warm blue, and I took the colour from their jeans. But, yes, I love this layout! I love blue as well!

I've used a slightly different hover effect on the links, and I hope it goes well with the layout as a whole. I'm looking forward to seeing this one in action, so please, if you take this layout, please sign the guestbook to let me know where your diary is so I can go and visit you! Thank you!

Ahhh. A Britney layout, finally, after a year of making templates. I like this layout. It's green. I've not done a lot of green layouts, but this one is most certainly green. And it's pretty cool. And it's got Britney sitting on a green chair. With a bit of text that's embossed and got a cool knobbly pattern on it saying "Britney!". If you like Britney, and the colour green, you should like this layout.

Ahhh. Now, I am seriously contemplating using this layout for my diet journal. Features the words "Inside me is a thin woman trying to get out... But I can usually shut her up with chocolate!"

I got the image (along with that accompanying phrase) from my mother in an email, and loved the image. Now the girl in the image doesn't look fat as such, but she's certainly not a Barbie. She actually looks kinda cute. Anyway, as a sort of disclaimer, I'm not trying to promote eating disorders or anything like that with this layout, it's simply a joke, as it was when I received it by email. But I thought it would make a great layout for anyone who, like me, tries to diet and always fails. OR, it's a great layout for all you people who refuse to diet. (I know one person other than me who this layout would be perfect for... she refuses to diet, and now maybe she'll use a layout of mine! Haha... gotcha!)

Update: I've added a new design to the Designer Showcase... go have a look now to see whose design is up there!

08 August 2003

I saw Tea Leoni in "The Family Man" with Nicolas Cage and was blown away by her acting and beauty. Anyway, I've done a layout with her on it, and this one's got a fixed background that's quite large (1600x920 - yeah I know it's not conventional ratio, but it should fit most browsers judging by my poll), and the entry scrolls over it. Go have a look.

By the way, in addition to my diaryring I've also created a survey for you to go and take if you're a Diaryland member. You'll find it here.

06 August 2003

I've added another wallpaper for you to download and enjoy, of the serene bamboo template. Hoorah!

I've also created a Diaryland Diaryring for anybody who has a Raging Pistachio template. Here is where you can join that ring if you're a Diaryland member! It doesn't have to be a free template, if you have a Raging Pistachio Custom design, feel free to join, also feel free to join if you have a modified Raging Pistachio design. Thank you!

Wow, I've done a pink girly layout! Using another great image from Getty Images and some brushes from Deviant Art this layout probably isn't for the boys of the web. The picture is of a girl sitting looking very pensive, and I've put the word "Imagine..." on it. Lovely girly action. Ahem. If you could call it that!
