Woohoo! And Raging Pistachio Designs' first imageless template is born! Lots of schemes to choose from too, so there should be a scheme for everyone! And no images, which means there's no need to put anything on your own server!

Aww, this is a cute layout. A woman's and a man's hands holding a yellow flower in the palms of their hands. I've named this layout "We've got life in the palms of our hands". It's quite symbolic that this flower is full of life, and it represents life. Quite nice. Anyway, I'm off to find more pictures. :-)

Now I don't like coffee, but for those of you who need your daily fix, this might be the design for you...

Here's another Exploding Dog one for you with a little fishie...

Here's a redone one of the old rose layout. It's very sexy and sultry in my opinion, with deep red and pink colours. Go and see what you think.

Here's a lovely picture taken by Jonathan (the other half) while we were in Scotland, incoporated into a layout. We saw this gorgeous sunset with trees and mountains, and a lovely mist on ground level. Go and see what you think anyway...

Well, here's admitting that when MyDesign first came about, the designs were not so good! I've just given the castle layout a new look, and boy, does it look better! The photo was always a beautiful one, but it just goes to show that the picture does not always make the layout what it is!

I loved Penelope Cruz in Captain Correli's Mandolin, so here she is in a Raging Pistachio Design. I had trouble at first getting the background gradient and the picture to line up, so I hope it looks good. Go have a look anyway. And remember, there are two polls up, so please spare a minute to go and have your say!

Here's a layout of Heather Graham. If you liked her in Austin Powers as Felicity Shagwell, or any other film, you might like this as it's a very soft and sexy picture of her. Go and have a look.

I saw this picture, and thought "Got to do one with this!" It's a message in a bottle, washed up on a beach, with waves crashing in the background. I got the image from iStockPhoto and it's absolutely great. Needless to say I've called it "Message in a Bottle".

Ahhh, another Exploding Dog layout for you. This one's kinda funny, coz there's this big green monster saying "Hey, you". I just love this guy's drawings. So here's another one for you. :-)

Well, it's the double bank holiday weekend now, so I've gone through all of the templates, and determined whether they look OK on 800x600 or not. If you go to the templates page you'll see some have black borders but most have blue borders. The ones with black borders look OK in 1024x768 and higher. The ones with blue borders look OK in 800x600 or higher. Maybe that'll make deciding which template to use a little easier.

Awww, this is a cute layout of a mum and her baby standing by a lake with clouds reflected in the water. The words "I love my mama" above the picture draw attention to the smiling baby. :) Similar in design to the day dreaming layout, but one for the mums...

This image struck me as very beautiful and very sad at the same time, so I called the subsequenting design "Heartbroken" I really like this layout, I swear if I put all my "favourites" on a separate page, I'd be there all day doing it! There's just something really special about this image that speaks volumes.

About screen resolutions, I'm going to go through my designs (all 70 of them - woohoo!) and mark which ones can be used in 800x600 without the horizontal scroll, and which are best to be used in 1024x768 and above. Also a quick reminder there's a poll on the polls page about screen resolutions, which will hopefully give me some conclusion on what resolution to cater mainly for. So please, go on down and complete the poll for me. It will hardly take a minute (if that!). Thank you!

16 April 2003

Added a new poll over at the polls page so now there are 2 for you to take part in.

On other news, I have added a new page to RP Designs, some FAQs. Actually, not many people have asked me questions, but they might clear up some confusion.

As for new templates, I am working on a few more, including a nice one with an image I got by taking a photo of a birthday card I got last year, and uploading it. Who needs a scanner when you've got a digital camera? If you like cute layouts, keep your eyes peeled for this one coming up!

Here's that cute layout I just told you about. I love it, for several reasons. One, I love kittens and cute animals like that. Two, yellow is my favourite colour in the world. It's such a lovely, cheerful colour, it's hard not to smile when you see it. Go take a look and see what you think yourself.

I love this one. I saw this image, and I thought, what a great picture, so I saved it, and then had a great idea about how to encorporate it into a design, with a long stripe for the entry. I did originally try to have the entry underneath the image and a stripe for the links, but I decided against it later. Still, this works really well, and I love the way you can see the girl and what she's looking at in the reflection.

Here's a candle layout for you. I found a great picture over at where-i-fall of a close-up candle. I editted it slightly so it was smoother and rounded off, and then stuck it onto a layout. A very cool layout, one of my favourites so far.

The ever popular Angelina Jolie finally has featured on a Raging Pistachio Design, along with the words "Some say I have an attitude problem!" Quite a cute layout. See what you think.

13 April 2003

OK, I actually put this template online several days ago, but I forgot to update this page, so here it is, a lovely layout of Mena Suvari, the actress in American Beauty. She does look beautiful in this picture, almost angelic.

Here's another Exploding Dog layout, as the others are proving very popular! Hope you enjoy this one as much as the others. By the way, this layout doesn't have a lot of room for extra links, so you could (if you feel confident enough) move the links underneath the big table, like in this layout, or just put the links to notes, email and guestbook in a separate contacts.html page (see here to learn how to do this), and any extra pages you want, like links, favourites, reviews, quizzes etc, in an "extras.html" page. Drop me a line if you have any problems.

Another Anime one for you people who are so fond of it, taking the total up to 6 anime layouts. I've called this one "Wanna have a picnic?" because she's got a picnic basket. I like this one. Even though it's similar to the Friends Guys ones, but still, it's kinda cool. Have a look.

Just a quick thank you to everyone who has used a template here, and followed the rules (ie, told me in the guestbook and kept my link up there). Please take part in the poll to let me know what you think of RP Designs! Thank you!

An anime style template again for you with a girl on a chair. It's a very purple layout, no particular reason why... just cos it seemed to look better than the other colours I guess. :-)

Added a little php script that changes the logo at the top everyday. I've a number of logos, and each day the logo will cycle through the list. Just to add a bit of interest to Raging Pistachio Designs I guess. Anyway, check back every day for a new logo. ;-)

06 April 2003

Hope you like this one folks, it's a dark one of a water scene with the silhouette of a tree through the middle of the picture. Links are orange to match the tones of the picture, which has a very autumny feel, thus why I called it Autumn Beauty. I know it's not Autumn anymore, but hey, saves me having to do a new one when it comes round again. Weird how I have three templates for Autumn now, and none for Summer! Still, Autumn is such a beautiful season.

Here are three layouts finally, featuring the boys from the TV show Friends. I'd finished the girls ages ago, so here are the guys! All Three templates feature basic and extra links, fixed background of each guy, previous and next links, and they should be able to be fully customisable.

All I ask is that you use a separate page for rings and other links as there isn't much space for that and like other designers, we prefer our pages without much clutter on them, which is why I've made a page to show you how to make a separate page for your links and rings and thing. You can find that here.

So which guy is your favourite Friend? Is it funny Chandler, serious Ross, or dopey Joey? All looking gorgeous in these layouts, so enjoy!!!

04 April 2003

This layout is called Naked. Purely because I cannot see the woman wearing any clothes. You can't see anything (sorry guys), and it's a very elegant picture, in the anime style.

Here's another one in the anime style, a black and purple layout of a couple. Lots of you wanted dark layouts, so here's one! Enjoy.

02 April 2003

Here's an anime style one featuring a picture of an angel which I'd had on my computer for ages. I finally got the inspiration for a layout with it, and put her on a transparent background so the background stripes show through. A nice pinkish/white one for all you anime lovers out there!

I'm pleased to say that one of my latest layouts, I can't let go is proving very popular. Please recommend me to your friends, and make Raging Pistachio Designs the latest cool thing! :-) Heh, okay then. *wink* Also, please take the time to do the poll if you haven't already. Many thanks.
